Under the general direction of the City Council, the City Manager/Clerk develops, directs and is responsible for the administration of all City affairs placed in the Manager/Clerk's charge by State Law, City Ordinance and the City Council; acts as principal liaison between outside agencies, departments, Mayor and City Council. They perform a wide variety of professional, administrative, and technical work to assist the Mayor, City Council and City departments in operations and the provision of City services including the development and enforcement of ordinances. Provides technical advice to Mayor, Council and City staff. Work is performed independently and is reviewed through reports, conferences, and the observation of results achieved. The City Manager/Clerk also serves as the City Treasurer, preparing and administering the City's budget each fiscal year and giving the City Council a monthly report on the City's finances.
The Deputy City Clerk assists the City Manager/Clerk in the administration of municipal affairs by performing general office work, accounting, payroll, and bookkeeping duties relating to municipal government as prescribed by state or city code and as directed by the City Manager/City Clerk. The Deputy City Clerk position is also in charge of utility billing and payment processing. The Deputy City Clerk will also act as City Clerk in the City Manager/Clerk's absence.
The Maintenance Supervisor/Project Manager is in charge of the direct administration, supervision, and maintenance of municipal street, electrical, water, wastewater, storm water sewer, park maintenance, pool maintenance and city owed facilities and grounds. They test and monitor all water and wastewater systems for quality and proper operation.
The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor/Assistant Project Manager assists the Maintenance Supervisor/Project Manager with the administration, supervision and maintenance of municipal street, electrical, water, wastewater, storm sewer, park maintenance, pool maintenance and city owned facilities and grounds. They also test and monitor all water and wastewater systems for quality and proper operation.
