Municipal Swimming Pool

Families and folks of all ages from Stratford and surrounding communities enjoy the Stratford Pool.  The pool is typically open from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (weather pending).  The pool features a zero-depth entry; a deep end area that offers a diving board; concessions stand and a shaded area for you to enjoy that snack; plus chaise lounges for patrons to use for relaxing on the sun deck.  A separate wading pool intended for babies and toddlers is available at no charge; however adult supervision is required as there is no lifeguard on duty in this area.

If you have any suggestions for activities that you would like to see happen, post a note on City of Stratford Facebook page, email us at cityofstratford2@globalccs,net or call 515-838-2311.

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a lifeguard for the 2023 pool season, make sure to plan ahead! Classes usually start in early February and fill up fast. Call Fuller Hall (515-832-9193) in Webster City or the Fort Dodge American Red Cross office as soon as possible. You must be 15 years old before the pool season starts to be a lifeguard.
